North Georgia Weddings - Cavender Castle is a privately held company focused on Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Wedding Receptions, and Special Events throughout Georgia. We own the Cavender Castle wedding venue along with also providing most of the key services (Photography, Videography, Officiants, Music, DJ) needed for your wedding. Unlike most other venues, these services are not out-sourced to third party vendors... these services are owned and operated by our company. That means better service for you!

Also, owners Cyndi and Rick Durham personally work with every bride and groom to assure their satisfaction.

Meet Cyndi Nichols Durham

Cyndi is the co-owner of North Georgia Weddings - Cavender Castke and our lead Senior Wedding Planner.

Cyndi has planned and coordinated hundreds of weddings, parties, and special events over the past nine years. She specializes in providing memorable decorating touches while staying within your budget. Brides and their mothers love how Cyndi takes care of all the details so they can enjoy the day! Cyndi is a graduate of Lumpkin County High School, attended North Georgia College and State University, and has lived in Dahlonega for 30 years.   She is the mother of two....Spencer age 23 and Delaney, age 14.

Meet Rick Durham!

Rick is the other co-owner of North Georgia Weddings - Cavender Castle . He spent 25 years in corporate America representing some of the world's largest flavor and ingredient companies in a variety of sales, marketing, and product management positions. Prior to his retirement, Rick managed an $25 Million business servicing the world's largest beverage company with ingredients all over the globe. In this role he traveled around the world sampling the tastes and flavor sensations favored by other cultures.

Today, Rick manages our Culinary Team in bringing outstanding food and beverage experiences to you and your guests. He is also an ordained minister allowing him to officiate Waterfall Weddings throughout North Georgia in addition to intimate weddings at Cavender Castle.
